Pat's daughter used to work as a musician in a club one or two nights a week as a student. It was almost practice time, and she got paid.

lis, Is it legal now in S.A. to get paid for donating blood. I know in years past I was very involved with the clinics, it was not allowed, due to numerous, understandable reasons.

After a long absense from the country, even before apartheid ended, I returned. Many a thing has changed. As I myself is too lightweight to donate, I have not been to the clinics since I'm back.

Thus I do not have knowledge if the law was changed concerning this matter.

Thanx for the answer. I was not too sure about the situation now as I was out of the country for such a long time. Never knew people actually got paid overseas for donating.
