You can really go to town with kids wall art. It is something that adds something extra to their room. Most kids spend quite a bit of time in their rooms. Younger kids will be playing games. Older kids will be doing their homework there after school and most teenagers will have a computer in their room to keep them busy. A room that looks good, has a great atmosphere and is homely will make them want to come back to it everyday.

There are many forms of kids wall art that can be created. You can either buy items to put on walls, you can have a special designer come and do it especially, but it is nice to create the room yourself and fun at the same time.

Kids wall art ideas

There are many ideas you could use when it comes to kids wall art. You would more than likely go with a particular theme. Different kids enjoy doing different things and they also change their hobbies and lifestyles as they grow up and mature so this is something you should take into consideration.

A lot of boys are crazy about baseball or football so your theme would be solely dedicated to that subject. Some teenagers enjoy the 60’s and you can do many things adding peace signs, pictures of the Beatles or other 60’s icons. Other teenagers will go for a contemporary theme with modern splashes of color or a collage of photos that can be created on a large piece of cork.

Cheap kids wall art

Kids canvas wall art has been used for many years, but slowly Styrofoam is taking over and is a good idea because it is cheap and it also looks good. You can use it in so many different ways. To create exciting kids wall art decor for a small child’s room wild animals can be stuck on the wall by using Styrofoam as the base and either using a print or painting on your own design.

When your child grows out of wild animals you simply take them off the wall and replace them with what his or her interest are or decide on something different such as a mural or some form of wall art stenciled on the wall.

Using stickers is another form of wall art that looks good in a kids bedroom and most stickers are easy to remove without taking the paint off the wall. Make sure you read the packet before buying it. This will look good with a collage mixed with a different assortment of paper and glitter stickers.

Allways fun in the kids room, and this ideas add a lot of kick for children.

I have seen a childrens ward in a hospital, full of styrofoam annimals, made by the nursing staff. It never felt like a hospital there, and the children became healthy quicker, because of that.

My kids will definitely send me to Groendakkies if I start doing this now in their rooms, but I'll wait for the grandchildren!
