Learn to speak French quickly

French is one of the most beautiful languages out there, but it is one that people avoid because of its reputation not to be one of the easiest. I bet if people were French they would say the same about English. To learn to speak French fluently takes a little time, but if you want to know the basics you may just surprise yourself.

Recently I decided to teach myself Italian before going on a trip to Tuscany so I bought the best tutorial books and CD's to do the job. Well I can tell you that there is only one way to learn a language and that is with pure committment. If you have 15 minutes to put into the learning process everyday you will be on your way to success.

Now I guess you could call this Italian thing a little experiment. About four years ago I decided learning French would be a great idea since I heard some of the folk in France were not that welcoming to the English lingo. At that time I did not have anything else on my mind. I was fully focused. I was convinced it  the program that was the reason I was doing well, but recently I have reassessed my views and have come to understand the way to learn a language like French is to do a little everyday.

Once you have done your 15 minutes a day for however long you are comfortable to start speaking a couple of sentences it would be a good idea to find some French-speaking people that you can practice with. If it for a trip that you want to get a few sentences together for then they don't have to be perfect French. Even if you can string a few words together French people will really appreciate that you have made the effort to actually put a sentence together. They will probably laugh and say something back in reply in which case it would be an idea to learn a couple of hand gestures.

If you really want to learn to speak French you should make a routine for yourself. 15 minutes is all you need everyday. This could be while you are driving in the car. It could be on your lunch break or you could just wake up 15 minutes earlier every morning.

Some people will prefer to learn how to speak French in a formal class, but with so many good French tutorial books around you could probably be speaking better French by teaching yourself. Books are set out in a step by step step fashion with CD's giving different learning methods.Flash cards built for your computer are a very good way of getting anything to stick into your head.

Another option which is quite popular now is to learn to speak French online. There are so many resources available, but at the end of the day it's what you put into it and how determined you are and that will motivate you to learn to speak French.

Great suggestions for a second and third language... the key is getting the practice to use them with others.

Blessings

Wish I would've learned some French before my trip to Paris last month. But I was with fluent friends, so it was all good. But next time!!
